Do not side with the majority when you know they are wrong
Opening Prayer
Heavenly Father, YHWH Elohim: We thank you for your lovingkindness that never fails us. We believe and trust your Word, and we want to grow in you more each day and to understand your promises for us. We desire a deeper faith and a closer walk with you. Please teach and guide us with your Word so that we can love you in the way you want to be loved. In Yeshua Messiah’s Name, Amen.
Exodus 23:2 You shall not fall in with the many who do evil, nor shall you bear witness in a lawsuit, siding with the many, so as to pervert justice.
Mark 10:19 You know the commandments: Do not commit adultery; do not commit murder; do not steal; do not bear false witness; do not defraud; honor your father and mother.
Romans 13:9-10 For, “Do not commit adultery; do not murder; do not steal; do not bear false witness; do not lust,” and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this word: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does not work evil to the neighbor. Then love is the fulfillment of law.
Ephesians 4:25 Therefore, putting off the false, speak truth each with his neighbor, because we are members of one another.
Revelation 21:8 But for the cowardly and unbelieving, and those having become foul, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all the lying ones, their part will be in the Lake burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
It can be frightening to stand up against the majority, especially today with social media spreading reports rapidly all over the world, and people attacking one another online for having differing views. However, YHWH says that we are to be brave and stand up for what is right and true, even when it isn’t popular.
Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father, YHWH Elohim: We ask for your help in being a light in every place you’ve given us to walk. Give us care and wisdom as we live and work with one another. Help us to look to another’s needs before our own, and to always be ready to serve those around us by the power of your love within us. Even in every dark and broken place, give us your joy, your grace, and the powerful presence of your peace. May we love and serve each other as Yeshua has shown us, as the Law made flesh. Fill us with the Holy Spirit to do your good work on earth. In Yeshua Messiah’s Name, Amen.
