But as to the times and the seasons, brothers you have no need for you to be written to for you yourselves know accurately the day of the Lord comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, Peace and safety! Then suddenly destruction comes upon them, like travail to the pregnant woman, and they shall not at all escape. But you, brothers, are not in darkness, that the Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of day; we are not of night, nor of darkness. So then, we should not sleep as the rest all do, but we should watch and be calm.
